Another problem, another hassle-free experience

Do you remember the days when you had to stand at the customer service counter to return your item?

It was a nightmare. You had to drive there, stand in line, get questioned by the agent, and finally get your refund after an hour or more.

With Amazon, it’s so easy. I had to return an item and I was just reminded by my husband to be grateful for the things we have in this modern age. No questions, no nothing. Just a drive to the post office and back. Bliss.

So, I figured I’d pass the message along: appreciate what you have!

Much love,

My Best Purchase of 2018

It’s about that time of year again — the best of the year!

Sorry this year is so late. Our family did a LOT of online shopping this year, so it took a while to comb through all of the products we purchased.

The winner is…

Drumroll please…

My air purifier!

We have two cats. I’m not allergic to cats or anything like that. I bought the air freshener because I was buying a humidifier — so I figured, why not. Right?

I can’t describe to you how much cleaner my lungs feel! Especially in the winter months when you can’t just crack a window to get some fresh air — the air purifier has made a huge difference in our lives. Everything is so fresh all of the time! Like we have a window open. Seriously!

Want one yourself? If you head over to this blog post and click the link to go to Amazon, I’ll receive a small commission from your purchase, which helps me keep the newsletter going. I’d really appreciate it!

If you’re itching to get your “shopoholic” on, an air purifier is a good place to start. ๐Ÿ™‚

The Cyber Monday Secret…

I’ll be adding my emails to this blog, but a few days after I send them out. So make sure you are on my mailing list! Email me in the “Contact” page to give me your email and I will add you.

The secret to Cyber Monday isn’t to look for the largest percentages off.

A product marked down 50% will probably be very low quality.

If you want to get a QUALITY brand, you want to go directly to manufacturer websites.

Skip Walmart.

Go directly to the source, and see what they are offering.

I wanted a pair of designer boots, but the brand wasn’t on the “discount list” at any of the big stores. It was full price.

But when I went to the company website, they had a 20% off deal sitewide.

In general…

Cheap brands: shop at a big box store.

Higher-end brands: go directly to the manufacturer.

Keep this in mind as you do your shopping today, and in the years to come.

Black Friday Wisdom: It’s Only On Sale If You Were Already Going to Buy It!

Don’t be fooled by Black Friday “deals”. If you’re going to buy anything on Black Friday, buy the stuff that you already need. Buying unnecessary stuff is a great way to spend too much money.

Personally, I bought a new laptop on Black Friday… but only because I needed one. I would not have purchased a computer if I didn’t NEED it!

So stock up on household supplies, food, and everything else you NEED. Don’t buy luxury items if you only WANT them. This advice will help your wallet after Black Friday!

100 Ways to Save Money at Home!

I just read an amazing blog post over at one of my favorite websites. It’s a big list of 100 ways to save money! Even if you only do a couple of them, you can save a lot of money every month. Doing all 100 is unrealistic but I know you can do one or two! Good luck! I’ll leave the link below.

Here is the link:ย

Why I Buy *Literally Everything* on!

Update: WOW! This post blew up! Thank you so much to all of my email subscribers for supporting me. In case you didn’t know, I offer my comprehensive coupon deals via a daily email list at NO COST. If you wish to support me, you can simply bookmark this page and use the links in the post to make your Amazon purchases. I will receive about 4% of your purchase, which isn’t a ton, but it does help cover the expenses of mailing out the email list every day! I hope you don’t mind that I link to this post at the bottom of every email. It keeps the dream alive! THANK YOU again and God bless! (Full disclaimer at bottom of page.)

Now, onto the article…

Everyone shops online sometimes. But I like to take it one step further, and shop online for all of my purchases, for a few different reasons. If you’re trying to save money, this “online only” strategy may help you. I have saved 10% to 30% on monthly expenses since I started!

Easy Bulk Buying

You can go to a store like Costco to save money, but that’s inconvenient to drive to for most people. And their brands are limited… and you need to pay for a membership! If your favorite brands offer bulk discounts, they are for sure to be on Amazon. Buy in bulk to save a lot! Sometimes up to 50%. It’s crazy how much you can save if you buy multiples… and Amazon makes it super easy!

2-Day Shipping Faster Than In-Store

For me, I usually realize I need something, like paper towels… then end up getting to the store days later.

Amazon has free 2-day shipping for Prime members. For me, it’s actually FASTER than if I were to have gotten the item at a local shop most of the time! (And usually cheaper!)

Can’t Beat The Perks

Amazon makes returns very easy. There’s no driving back to the store, or getting hassled by the customer refund person who is working. And I make good use of the Amazon Prime video and music services, so Amazon ends up being a very big part of my life. It’s hassle-free to use Amazon whenever you can.

Save Time

It’s a lot faster to make a few clicks than it is to get in your car, go to the store, shop, and come back. Time is money! (I’m lazy, too – but seriously, Amazon saves me a lot of time.)

Know the Deals

You can easily know when something goes on sale online. For regular shops, you have to physically travel there to see. Basically, you can buy stuff on sale more often if you shop online, instead of “lucking” into a sale. Check the Amazon page of a product you want to buy every day, and more often than not, a sale will eventually come around.

If you want to save some cash, consider shopping on Amazon ONLY. See how much you save month to month! If you’re like me, you might start doing everything online too.
